Our Vision: To reach 18.3 million people in LA by following the early church model and bringing church into homes. There are three elements to the model:
A monthly gathering with live preaching, worship, and a family-friendly environment.
Weekly workshops on practical topics like marriage, parenting, and finances, offered alongside our Saddleback Kids program.
Meeting in homes 3 out of 4 weeks in a month to watch services, build community, and grow in faith.
Samuel Stephens was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, and affectionately goes by the acronym SAM: South African Man! He completed his Bachelor of Divinity there before moving to the United States in 2019.
He earned his Master’s degree in Theology at Vanguard University while he interned at Saddleback Church. Now, Sam serves as the community pastor in Los Angeles, guiding people in their walks with Jesus.
Sam has a deep desire to mobilize our members to share the Good News of Jesus Christ to the whole of the greater area of Los Angeles!
