Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Clay Stokes has been a part of Saddleback Church for almost eight years, with much of his focus on Small Groups ministry. He holds a Bachelor's degree in History and a Master of Divinity (MDiv), which reflect his deep passion for both learning and spiritual leadership.
Clay loves the diversity of the people at Saddleback San Diego and the unity of heart they share for Jesus. His favorite Bible verse, 1 Timothy 6:6, reminds him of the importance of godliness with contentment. Outside of ministry, Clay enjoys spending time with his wife Candy, their four children—Holly, Heidi, Paul, and Tim—and their ten grandchildren. In his free time, you’ll find him golfing, hiking, walking along the beach, or discovering great new places to eat.
